As winter passes, spring brings new life and is a time of renewal. This time of year is a metaphor for the cycle of life. This May, artists from across the country will be participating in Galatea Fine Art’s show, “The Joy Of Life”, juried by Joe Kitsch, a Boston-based artist and curator.

This show is dedicated to love ones we have lost and to those who continue on. It is important to celebrate their memories by living and experiencing the joy of life. This juried show will coincide with two solo shows in the gallery. Visit Galatea May 1-31 or celebrate with the artists at the gallery on May 3 from 6-8 pm for the SoWa district’s First Friday events where visitors can access artist studios and over 15 galleries.

Juror: JOE KITSCH has organized shows as The Pirate Gallery, along with monthly, themed, pop-up shows during SoWa First Fridays as The Art Kitsch(en) and large group shows at Atlantic Works Gallery in East Boston. Most recently, Kitsch was curator of “Echoes of Pop in the New Millennia”, a survey show illustrating the influence of Pop Art utilizing members of the Cambridge Art Association. Kitsch graduated from the Hartford Art School at University of Hartford (MFA ’01) and lives/works in the Boston area.
